Ink Check ("Ink Check," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Ink Check mobile application (the "App").

1. Overview

Ink Check is designed with privacy in mind. We do not create user accounts, and we do not store personal tattoo images or personal health data on our servers.

Most data remains on your device, and any limited data processing that occurs is solely for providing the core functionality of the App.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Ink Check does not:

• Require you to create an account
• Collect your name, email address, or phone number
• Store tattoo images on Ink Check servers
• Store health or medical records
• Sell or share personal data for advertising purposes

3. Tattoo Images & AI Analysis

When you choose to analyze a tattoo image:

• The image is sent directly from your device to a third-party AI service (OpenAI) solely for analysis purposes
• Images are not stored by Ink Check
• Images are used only to generate the analysis you request
• Ink Check does not retain copies of images after analysis is complete

Please note that image processing is subject to OpenAI's data handling and privacy practices. Ink Check does not control how OpenAI processes data beyond submitting the request for analysis.

4. On-Device Data

Any information you enter into the App (such as days since tattoo, how the tattoo feels—e.g., itchy, warm, painful) is processed locally on your device to help generate contextual guidance.

Ink Check does not upload or store this information on its own servers.

5. Analytics

Ink Check uses Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used and to improve performance and user experience.

Firebase Analytics may collect:

• Anonymous usage data
• App interactions (e.g., screen views, feature usage)
• Device information (such as operating system version)

This data:

• Is aggregated and anonymized
• Is not used to identify individual users
• Is not linked to tattoo images or analysis results

Firebase's data handling is governed by Google's privacy policy.

6. Data Sharing

Ink Check does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.

Data is shared only in the following limited cases:

• Tattoo images are sent to OpenAI only to perform AI analysis
• Anonymous usage data is sent to Firebase Analytics for app improvement

No other third-party access is permitted.

7. Medical Disclaimer

Ink Check provides general, educational information about tattoo healing.

• Ink Check does not provide medical diagnoses
• Information provided is not a substitute for professional medical advice
• If you have concerns about infection or complications, consult a qualified healthcare professional

8. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect data during transmission and processing. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Because Ink Check does not store personal data on its servers, long-term data exposure risk is minimized.

9. Children's Privacy

Ink Check is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
